When a special project required specific Tansu style hardware, we searched high and low to find the right pieces but to no avail. What we found is that Tansu hardware isn't easy to come by in the U.S. In fact artisans in Japan work many years to perfect the craft of creating this special hardware, and purchasing from Japan meant a long waiting time and lots of MONEY! Though we are no Japanese Artisans, we are pretty tenacious (and somewhat stubborn about spending money unnecessarily). Gleaning as much information on how to create this hardware from traditional books and other resources we were able to come up with some beautiful results that are our own variety.

What you see here are several pieces. that we make in small batches and hand finish. Each piece is unique, beautiful and made to order. No two pieces. are the same and they are guaranteed to last.
